Cindy Phillips

Cindy Phillips, Owner and Yoga Teacher at Island Yoga Space

“Yoga has healed me in many ways on many levels.  Through the practice I’ve learned the importance of self-love, the gateway to my true nature… my heart.  By tapping into this deep understanding it allows me to serve others from a place of worthiness, compassion and acceptance.”

Cindy is the Owner and Director of Island Yoga Space.

She guides students in Vinyasa Flow, Restorative, Gentle and Chair yoga and yoga for young girls (Teenie Yogini) with particular attention to alignment.  While creatively interweaving underlying themes and poetry with world music she encourages students to connect with their own personal inner wisdom and take this truth out into daily living.  She believes yoga to be a life practice. With dedication and commitment one can truly  experience and live a life full of joy and freedom.

Cindy’s classes are creative, fun, empowering and healing.  She is grateful to ALL of the teachers who have graced and inspired her journey as a yoga instructor.

By providing the island community and visitors with a comfortable and nurturing environment, she trusts that each student will find their inner strengths and overall well-being.

When not practicing or teaching yoga Cindy has a passion for good food, music, dancing, communing with girlfriends, finding sanctuary in nature and hanging out with her guru…  daughter, Makena.
