Upon the advice of her mom, a yoga practitioner for over 45 years, Hillary stepped into her first yoga class in 1998, as a means to deal with the stresses of a corporate career coupled with the onset of a severe health issue. Initially, thinking that she had to be flexible to do yoga, she soon discovered that it didn’t matter if she couldn’t touch her toes. Her yoga journey has opened her from the inside out; uncovering hidden strengths while regaining balance in her mind, body and heart.

Hillary has always been a fitness, health and wellness enthusiast, having played tennis and performed synchronized swimming in high school and college, to now enjoying biking, swimming and jogging. Her yoga classes are an empowering experience and incorporate a blend of aligning and strengthening the physical body (and working those core muscles) with breath awareness to quiet the mind. She is noted for her genuine compassion and dedication to her students offering them the tools to take off the mat and apply in their daily lives while honoring their unique gifts. Hillary teaches from the heart, full of energy, with a spirit of joy, enthusiasm and ease.

Her teachers – Betsey Downing, Naime Jezzeny, Desiree Rumbaugh, Martin Kirk, Liz Conner and many more – all have inspired and continue to shape her teaching philosophy. She became a certified Vinyasa Flow teacher through the Prancing Peacock Yoga Teacher Training program and is a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance.

Hillary earned a BA in French/International Relations from Bucknell University; and MA in Education from the University of South Florida.
